Commissioned Health Care

The Commissioning Team

Commissioning Health Services

Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCG’s) were created following the Health and Social Care Act in 2012 to replace Primary Care Trusts. They are clinically-led statutory NHS bodies responsible for the planning and commission of health care services for their local area. We work with the CCG’s to provide procurement support to enable:

  • Better quality healthcare
  • Improved service delivery
  • Generate savings or cost efficiencies to enable more services to be provided within the same budget

The Hedge End and Lewes office together provide procurement support for:

  • Hampshire and Isle of Wight (8 CCG’s)
  • Surrey (3 CCG’s)
  • Sussex (7 CCG’s)
  • Health Education England (nationally)
  • Imperial College London.

We have strategic relationships with Local Authorities, NHS Trusts and Primary Care organisations, large and small suppliers, Commissioning Support Units, GP’s, NHS England, NHS Digital, NHS Improvement and the Academic Health Science Network.
