Trust Open Day 28th Sept 2019

Location: Main Entrance, A Level & Education Centre, E Level, QA Hospital, Cosham, PO6 3LY

This year’s open day will be offering activities for all age groups. With over 40 interactive stalls, a sticker trail and bouncy castle for kids and a record-breaking number of department tours, it is an event not to be missed.

Department Tours Confirmed:

Mortuary – 20 spaces per tour (18 years + only)
Blood Sciences – 10 spaces per tour (11 years + only)
Histology – 10 spaces per tour (11 year’s + only)
Nuclear Medicine – 12 spaces per tour (No age limit)
Robotics – 20 spaces per tour
 Simulation Suites – 12 spaces per tour (No age limit)
 Microbiology – 10 spaces per tour (11 years + only)
 Hospital Radio – 10 spaces per tour (No age limit)
Radiotherapy – 10 spaces per tour (No age limit)
 Therapy Pit Stop – 20 spaces per tour (No age limit)

The theme of this year’s open day is Working Together, highlighting our Trust values: working together for patients, with compassion, as one team, always improving.

There is no need to book the tours ahead of the day. They will be allocated on a first-come, first served basis and will be released in two stages – one group in the morning from 10.30am and the second group in the afternoon at 12.30pm, so there should be plenty of tours available for all.

  1. Free car parking will be available in the Sevenoaks Road Car Park on a first come, first served basis. Please see the hospital map for location of the Sevenoaks Road Car Park. While this car park will be free for Open Day visitors, a donation to the Hospital Charity would be greatly appreciated. Visitors who park elsewhere on the day will be subject to the usual parking fees, payable at the pay machines.
